Corruption, Rule of Law and Prophet Muhammad
Ibnu Rusyd* Introduction: Corruption Again While other people begin to recover from the crisis, Indonesian people still slump because of the corruption which is still rampant; the law is hard to be upheld, and the political parties only think about how to build an alliance of power. That was a statement by Kang Moeslim Abdurrahman in his book, Islam Yang Memihak (2005). We repeatedly confronted by the facts that corruption has been ingrained in our people. The latest one is the arrestment of Head of Constitutional Court, Akil Mochtar, on Wed (2/10) that has harmed the existence and credibility the law institutions ( Kompas , 4/10). The corruption that happened as the crime of theft and betrayal of the people’s money and trust not only has degraded the majesty of the relevant law institution, but it has also enriched the extent of skepticism of the people about the government praxis who are barren and traitorous in running the constitution as the supreme law ( Kompas ,
